Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Welfare Fund and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Fund for Development, stressed the necessity of activating the partnership between national funds to implement social protection programs and the importance of creating a social registry and linking it to the national number.

During his meeting with the leadership of the Social Fund for Development and Mr. Hafez Al-Dharhani, Director of the Unconditional Cash Transfers Program, Minister Al-Zaouri discussed the current challenges facing partners in the field of implementing social protection programs in light of the scarcity of resources and the lack of donor funds, pointing to the developments regarding the implementation of the 19th and final disbursement cycle of the project. During the meeting, Minister Al-Zaouri stressed the importance of building the capabilities of the Social Welfare Fund by building its financial, administrative and structural systems and developing the necessary mechanisms, plans and evidence so that the Fund can lead the National Social Register and carry out the process of registration and continuous evaluation of the condition of the beneficiaries.

For his part, the Director of the Cash Transfer Program at the Social Fund for Development expressed his appreciation for the efforts of His Excellency the Minister in activating the partnership between national funds, and his continuous coordination in order to continue the support provided by donors.
