Sheikh Karama bin Al-Suqair, Vice President of the Executive Body of the Southern Transitional Council in Wadi Hadhramaut, welcomed today, Saturday, the political awareness, survey and evaluation team of the Council, during his reception at Sayun Airport.

The team is headed by Abdul Raouf Zein Al-Saqqaf, a member of the Council’s Presidency, and includes Muhammad Saleh Battis, deputy head of the team and head of the Political Department of the General Secretariat, Muhammad bin Hawa Bawazir, Chairman of the Political Committee of the Council of Councillors, Muhammad Abd al-Hadi, member of the National Southern Media Authority, and Muhammad al-Tamimi. The visit is scheduled to include extensive meetings with council bodies in Hadhramaut Valley, the local authority, political and societal forces and components, sheikhs, notables, social figures, and civil society organizations.

The team intends to discuss the challenges and ways to address them, and coordinate with the relevant authorities to achieve stability and development in the Wadi and Desert districts of Hadhramaut.

The visit comes to enhance the complementary work between the central and local council bodies, political awareness of developments in the current situation of the issue of the people of the South at the local and external levels, and knowledge of the needs of citizens.
