The Specialized Criminal Prosecution in Aden Governorate this morning in the courtyard of the central prison in Mansoura in Aden Governorate carried out the legal retaliation ruling by firing squad until death against the two convicts, Muhammad Shukri Ali Ahmed and Ali Shukri Ali Ahmed, for deliberately and aggressively killing the victim, Ahmed Muhammad Omar Abadi.

The death sentence was executed in implementation of the ruling of the Specialized Criminal Court in Aden issued on 2/19/2020 AD, which ruled that the accused were convicted and punished with death by firing squad in Criminal Case No. 18 of 2018 AD, J.J., endorsed by the Criminal Division, Aden Governorate Court of Appeal, dated 2022. /12/25 AD, confirmed by the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court on 6/2/2024 AD, and after the approval of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council on 11/12/2024 AD.

After completing these procedures, the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali, directed on 9/9/2024 AD to complete the implementation procedures, and after the operative part of the ruling was read by the Deputy Specialized Criminal Prosecutor of First Instance, Aden Governorate, Judge Abdullah Muhammad Nasser Lasur, the implementation was carried out in the presence of the Chief Criminal Appeal Prosecutor. The Specialist Aden Governorate, Judge Anis Nasser Ali Obadi, the Deputy Prosecutor of the Central Prison, Judge Nasser Modhesh, and the Director of the Central Prison, Captain Al-Yahri, the blood relatives of the victim, and a number of security personnel and citizens.    

The implementation of the ruling came as a result of the efforts made by His Excellency the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali, in his keenness to speed up the procedures with approval before His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, which fulfilled the blood guardians’ right to legal retribution from the two convicts, in compliance with the Almighty’s saying: (And for you in retaliation is life, O people. The cores That you may become righteous).

It is worth noting that this ruling of legal retaliation is the first ruling to be implemented by the Criminal Prosecution in Aden Governorate.
