The power system in Lahj is still out of service for the third day in a row, causing a power outage in the city of Al-Houta and its suburbs due to the unavailability of diesel to operate the purchased power generators.

A source in Lahj Electricity indicated that the power outage will continue continuously until diesel is supplied to the power generators purchased at the Abbas station, which increases the suffering of citizens as a result of the ongoing electricity crisis that has no effective solutions and has increased in severity.

The power outage affects the water service, as many people in the city depend on electricity to obtain drinking water.

The city of Al-Houta and its suburbs had previously witnessed protests and popular anger due to the deterioration of services, as this protest caused the blockage of many roads.
