Concluding a training course to improve the security staff’s dealings with victims of electronic blackmail in the city of Mukalla

The Salam and Building Foundation concluded, today, in the city of Mukalla, a specialized training course to improve the capabilities of the security staff in the Anti-Electronic Blackmail Unit in dealing with blackmail victims and providing them with the necessary psychological support, with funding from the Civic Organization.
The course, which lasted for five days, witnessed the participation of a number of members of the security and police of the Hadhramaut coast, where intensive training programs were provided that focused on methods of psychological support for victims and mechanisms for dealing professionally and sensitively with cases of electronic extortion, which contributes to strengthening victims’ confidence in the security services.
In a closing speech, the Assistant Director General of Security and Police of the Hadhramaut Coast, Colonel Maree Bakhala, praised the efforts of the Salam and Construction Foundation in supporting security cadres, pointing to the session that coincides with International Police Day, which falls on December 18 of each year, stressing that Such courses contribute to improving security performance and enhancing awareness of the dangers of cybercrime and how to confront them.
For her part, the Executive Director of the Salam and Building Foundation, Ms. Sumaya Al-Sibai, explained that the course comes within the Foundation’s efforts to build a safer environment in the face of cybercrime challenges, noting the importance of strengthening the partnership between security agencies and civil society organizations to achieve these goals.
