An elderly Yemeni and his children were severely beaten and imprisoned after his floor was looted

Houthi militants assaulted an elderly man and his children, severely beating them and shooting them with live bullets, before transferring them to a militia prison in Taiz Governorate (southwestern Yemen).
Local sources said that Houthi militants led by an impersonator impersonating the Secretary-General of Al-Salw District, Munir Mansour Al-Shehab, who is loyal to the militias, attacked Hajj Muhammad Abdel-Wali Qaid Al-Salwi and his children in the village of Al-Khayami, Al-Dhaba, Al-Salw District, Taiz Governorate.
The sources explained that the gunmen assaulted the citizen and his children by beating them and shooting live bullets, and took them to the prison of the Al-Salu District, which belongs to the coup plotters.
The sources indicated that this incident occurred after the Houthi militias looted land belonging to the citizen Muhammad Al-Salawi.
According to the sources, armed men led by “Al-Shehab” forcefully stormed the grounds of Hajj Muhammad Al-Salwi and severely beat him in front of his children. They uprooted his khat trees, set fire to them extensively, and then took him to prison.
The sources reported that the attack was due to Al-Salawi asking the militias to leave his property, which the Houthi elements tried to loot.
