Yemeni Airlines: We need new planes, and the Houthis are seizing the planes and financial assets

The Board of Directors of Yemen Airways stressed the need to support the company to increase its aircraft fleet and open new route flights in the future, to contribute to improving its revenues, and to maintain the continued operation of the company, which is the national carrier that serves all the Yemeni people throughout the country.< /p>
This came during the fourth regular meeting for the current year, 2024 AD, of the Board of Directors of Yemen Airways Company, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, during which the company’s estimated budget for the next year, 2025 AD, was approved.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemen Airways Company, Captain Nasser Mahmoud, reviewed the current general conditions that the company is going through in light of the Houthi militia’s continued detention of aircraft and financial assets in Sana’a.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemen Airways Company pointed out the company’s need to strengthen its aircraft fleet by increasing modern aircraft, in order to enable the company to meet the increasing demand for flights on current lines and expand the operation of its flights to new destinations
