The United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF, announced the arrival of a new shipment of vaccines intended to vaccinate children at Aden International Airport.
The organization said in a tweet on its account on the “X” platform, “This week, we airlifted more than 18,000 tons of vaccines through Aden International Airport.”
She added that this shipment comes with support from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), and will be allocated to vaccinate children in the country.
UNICEF stressed that vaccines are necessary to protect children from diphtheria, measles, tetanus, and other diseases that can be prevented by vaccination.
