The committee assigned by His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaouri, to evaluate the conditions of the Social Welfare Fund branches in the southern governorates, began its work by going to Lahj Governorate, where the committee headed by Brother Saleh Mahmoud Hassan Abu Suhail, Undersecretary for the Social Welfare Sector, met with Major General P.S.C. Ahmed Abdullah Turki, governor of the governorate.
During the meeting, the status of the Welfare Fund branch building in the governorate was discussed, which was still stormed by families whose homes were destroyed during the liberation of the governorate from the Houthi invaders.
In light of this, Governor Turki directed the security services in the governorate’s capital, Al-Hota, to enable the Fund’s branch management to be part of the building so that it can carry out its work in the service of the citizens of the governorate and that it is about to activate the “cash” project for approximately 84,000 targeted families in the governorate.
The Undersecretary Abu Suhail and members of the committee had held an extensive meeting that included the director of the office of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in the governorate, Saeb Abdulaziz Saeed, and the director of the Social Welfare Fund branch in the governorate, Abdel Fattah Muhammad Saeed Sadqa, devoted to discussing the conditions of the branch and the tasks it carries out in light of the circumstances it faces, as it was confirmed that It is necessary to enable the Fund’s branch from its own building to carry out its activities with ease.
The meetings were attended by Talib Hamed, Director General of Beneficiaries Administration at the Social Welfare Fund, the main center, the capital, Aden, and a member of the committee.
