Today, dozens of people from Abyan Governorate carried out a protest in front of the gate of the Ma’ashiq Presidential Palace in Aden, in protest and denouncing the procrastination and delay in ratifying the absolute retribution rulings issued against the killers of the Zanzibar child, Mithaq Al-Dabiya, who was subjected to the most horrific types of violations, including kidnapping, rape, murder and disappearance. .
The initial ruling was issued by the Zanzibar court to execute the accused by retaliation and punishment, and it was upheld by the Abyan Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, as well as the execution of those accused of killing Al-Haddi and Al-Humayqani, but the protesters express their astonishment at the presidency’s reluctance to ratify these two rulings, even though their implementation must be a procedure. Routinely to achieve justice and support the victim’s cause.
The protesters aim to put pressure on the presidential authorities to speed up the implementation of these two just rulings, so that the people of Abyan Governorate feel justice and judicial independence. They consider this case an embodiment of the grave violations to which citizens are exposed, which must be fought with all force.
The protesters said that they will continue their protest movement until justice is implemented and the law is applied to the killers of innocents, and they appeal to the concerned authorities to ensure that justice is fair and without delay, and not to allow crimes to escape from their repercussions.
They hope that their struggle will contribute to increasing community awareness and improving justice conditions in the governorate and the country.
