On Wednesday, the Houthi group announced the implementation of two operations targeting vital targets in Jaffa and Ashkelon. The Houthi military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said that the group's forces "carried out two military operations. The first targeted a vital, sensitive target of the Israeli enemy in the occupied Jaffa region, and the second operation targeted the Israeli enemy's industrial zone in the occupied Ashkelon region." The statement indicated that the two operations were carried out using two drones and achieved their goals successfully.
The Israeli occupation army radio said that a Houthi drone had penetrated the airspace from the sea, and the Israeli media also reported about the explosion of a Houthi drone in the southern region. The Israeli media indicated that sirens were sounding in Ashkelon, for fear of a drone infiltration, pointing to the sound of an explosion in Ashkelon after the sirens sounded.
It is noteworthy that, since November of last year, the Houthi group has been launching attacks with ballistic missiles, drones, and naval boats against Israeli, American, and British ships in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea. The group also carries out attacks with ballistic missiles and drones on targets inside the occupied Palestinian territories, as part of what it calls “the battle of the promised conquest and holy jihad.”
