Israeli Channel 14 announced that Israel launched a new campaign against the Houthis in Yemen, as Israeli raids targeted Sanaa International Airport, the port of Hodeidah, and oil installations in various areas of the country.
An Israeli military source said that the attacks that occurred today are not just a passing attack, but rather a new military campaign aimed at weakening the Houthis and preventing them from threatening regional security. These raids come at a sensitive time after the Houthis' recent escalation in the use of missiles and drones targeting Tel Aviv.
The raids on Sanaa Airport resulted in the destruction of large parts of the airport’s departure lounge, causing significant damage to the airport’s infrastructure.
Local sources reported that the bombing led to a power outage in Sanaa and Hodeidah, which contributed to deepening the suffering of the population in light of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The sources also reported that the attacks targeted the control tower at Sanaa Airport, partially destroying it, and the bombing caused casualties among airport employees, in addition to civilians who were waiting for the arrival of a Yemeni Airlines flight.
Later, a Yemeni Airlines plane landed at Sanaa International Airport after the airport was bombed, in a professional maneuver to avoid further losses.
