The Israeli army announced, at dawn on Friday, that it had intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemen before it entered the center of the country.
The Israeli ambulance reported that 18 people were injured during the stampede on their way to the protected area, while Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the landing of planes to Ben Gurion Airport was stopped while the sirens were activated.
The Israeli Home Front said that sirens sounded in dozens of areas in central Israel after a missile launch was detected from Yemen.
