The Board of Directors of the Hadhramaut Coast Cleaning and Improvement Fund held a meeting today in Mukalla, headed by the Governor of the Governorate and Chairman of the Fund’s Board of Directors, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, and in the presence of the Fund’s Executive Director, Engineer Fahmi bin Shubraq, and members of the Fund’s Board of Directors.
The Fund’s Board of Directors discussed a number of topics and concepts included in its agenda, and approved the initial draft designs for the project to establish the Fund’s General Administration Building in the city of Mukalla, and a draft vision of the plan to establish public parking lots in selected locations in the city of Mukalla.
The Council reviewed and approved the vision for the mechanism for regulating the procedures for dealing with gardens and parks, in addition to approving a proposal for a mechanism to oblige public and private institutions and facilities and the owners of buildings and white lands located on the main streets to improve and clean the sidewalks, facades and improvement facilities located in front of their shops and sites.
The Fund's Board of Directors also approved a proposal to hand over the tasks of guarding Khor Al-Mukalla and parks and gardens to private protection companies, in addition to approving a mechanism for maintaining dilapidated billboards in exchange for renting them.
The meeting approved interest in improving the entrances to the eastern and western governorate capital, and rehabilitating and maintaining Khor Al-Mukalla.
The Governor, Chairman of the Fund’s Board of Directors, praised the efforts of the Fund’s staff, stressing the increase in the pace of work to highlight the main cities, and evaluating the projects that were approved to circulate them to the rest of the directorates.
