Today, Tuesday, the United Arab Emirates provided an emergency fuel shipment to power plants in the capital, Aden, as part of its continued support for the Yemeni people.
The first batch of the shipment has arrived at the port of Aden, and will be unloaded immediately to restart the power stations that were threatened with closure due to fuel shortages.
This shipment comes at a time when Aden is suffering from frequent power outages, causing great suffering to citizens.
The announcement of the arrival of the fuel shipment came during the reception of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council today, the Emirati Ambassador Mohammed Hamad Al Zaabi.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, the role of the United Arab Emirates, and its generous development and humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieve their aspirations to restore state institutions, stability, development and peace.
