As part of its ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and enhance security and stability, the National Shield Forces were able, during the period from November 29 to December 28, to thwart the smuggling of large quantities of prohibited materials through the Al-Wadiah land port.
The seized items included:
• 57,199 packs of cigarettes.
• 3 kilograms and 167 packets of molasses.
• 81.5 kilograms of khat.
• 40 bags of tobacco.
The total quantities seized amounted to 57,000 prohibited items, which reflects the efficiency of the National Shield Forces in confronting smuggling attempts that threaten the security of society and the health of citizens.
Al-Wadiah port is considered one of the vital land ports, and the vigilance of the National Shield Forces played a pivotal role in thwarting repeated smuggling attempts through it.
Citizens praised the achievements made by the National Shield Forces, expressing their thanks for the efforts being made to enhance security and stability and protect society from harmful substances.
The leadership of the National Shield Forces confirmed the continuation of its intensive security campaigns, calling on citizens to cooperate and report any suspicious activities that contribute to destabilizing security or threaten the safety of society.
