Masam removes more than 5,000 mines and explosive devices in Yemen

The Masam demining project in Yemen, with the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, succeeded in removing 5,398 mines, unexploded shells, and explosive devices planted by the Houthi militias in a number of liberated areas.
This new achievement comes within the framework of the project’s ongoing efforts to clear Yemeni territories of war remnants, and protect civilians from the dangers of mines that threaten their lives and livelihoods.
Masam Project continued its intensive operations in Yemen, targeting Houthi militia mines and explosive devices left behind. During the last period, he was able to remove 5,398 mines, unexploded shells, and explosive devices planted by militias in residential and agricultural areas, which pose a direct threat to the lives of civilians.
