The Culture Office in Lahj Governorate launched today, Tuesday, a drawing competition that discusses upcoming societal issues within the Leave It As You Created program, which is funded by the Humanitarian Access Organization and the United Nations Population Fund and implemented by the Aden Foundation for Arts and Sciences.
The drawing competition, which was announced by the Governorate’s Culture Office, will be held at Khadija and Al-Zahraa Schools in Al-Houta District, with the participation of 50 female students to obtain the best drawings expressing violence against girls.
The competition is supervised by a committee affiliated with the local authority, headed by the Director of the Culture Office, and the drawings are selected by a group. Of the painters.
The female students compete in drawing on advocacy for women’s issues and violence against girls, such as underage marriage and female genital mutilation, through drawings that inspire society to oppose violence.
She will witness Al-Houta Directorate, Lahj, Thursday, an exhibition of drawings made by female students, honoring the winners of the best drawings, while all entries in the competition will be honored.
