Urgent: The southern armed forces seize important sites for terrorist elements east and north of Abyan

The Southern Armed Forces tightened their control over Wadi Itsabah, Qatman, and Aqabat al-Dhara’, east and north of Abyan, after violent clashes with members of the terrorist Al-Qaeda organization. The clashes led to the terrorist elements escaping and abandoning the cars of the kidnapped persons that they had hijacked a few days ago.
Military sources confirmed that southern forces captured the base camp in Wadi Itsabah, north of Abyan, after fierce battles.
This operation came in response to two murders and disruption of members of the Fifth Infantry Brigade on the general line linking Ahwar to Shuqra.
A military source said that the joint forces continue to pursue and eliminate the remnants of terrorism, stressing that the security campaign has tightened the noose on terrorist elements and cut off all the routes they take.
