A fire expert's investigations revealed that the explosion that occurred at the Hashid gas station in the interim capital, Aden, in early November last year was caused by a cut in the locomotive's gas pipeline, which led to the catastrophic explosion.
The report explained that the main cause of the accident was due to negligence, noting that this led to a large fire at the station, which resulted in the death of two people and the injury of 26 others with varying injuries.
As part of the investigations, the police detained the station owner and the locomotive owner to complete the necessary legal procedures, amid calls to tighten control over gas stations and prevent the recurrence of such tragic incidents.
