The US Central Command announced that the guided missile destroyers of the Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier group fired "Tomahawk" land attack missiles at sites belonging to the Houthi militia, "Iran's proxies" in Yemen.
Central Command explained in a statement that the strikes carried out on December 31 targeted command and control centers, as well as Houthi weapons production and storage sites, within the US Central Command area of responsibility in the Red Sea.
The statement stressed that the operation aims to confront threats and enhance security and stability in the region.
