From the strategic electricity generation project, provided as generous support from the UAE for the benefit of the people of Shabwa.
The receipt of more than 25 containers of the first batch of equipment and solar panels was inaugurated in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Local Council of Shabwa Governorate, Abd Rabbuh Hashla Nasser, the governor’s agents, Dr. Abdul-Qawi Lamrouq, and Fahd bin Al-Dhib Al-Khulaifi, the Director General of the Governorate Police, Brigadier General Fawad Muhammad Al-Nasi, and the Director of General of Shabwa Awad Al-Ahmadi Electricity Corporation.

In turn, the Director General of the Shabwa Electricity Corporation explained that the level of achievement in the solar energy project is proceeding at a steady pace, pointing out that the construction work of the conversion station at the Ataq power station site is taking place at an accelerated pace. He expressed his gratitude to the UAE and to the Governor of Shabwa, Awad bin Al-Wazir, for the efforts made to realize the dream of the people of the governorate in finding sustainable solutions to electricity problems.
For his part, Engineer Manaf Al-Sagheer, representative of Electromeka International, which is implementing the project, stated that the inauguration of receiving the panels reflects the project’s arrival at advanced stages of implementation. He stressed that work is underway at a high pace to complete the project on time, praising the support and facilities provided by the local authority, led by Governor Bin Al-Wazir, to facilitate the company’s work.
