The Governor of Al-Mahra officially announces his position on the presence of the “National Shield” forces in the governorate and the movements of Amman’s forces

The governor of Al-Mahra Governorate, Muhammad Ali Yasser, received this Saturday morning at the governorate’s office, the commander of the “Homeland Shield” forces in the governorate, Commander Abdullah bin Sadif Al-Jedhi, accompanied by a number of sheikhs of the Al-Jedhi tribe and social and military figures.
This meeting came in light of the rejectionist movements that the governorate witnessed during the past days, led by tribal forces suspected of being mobilized by Oman and the Houthis, in rejection of the presence of a military force considered loyal to Saudi Arabia. However, the governor expressed his official welcome to the “Homeland Shield” forces, stressing that they will be a auxiliary to the local security forces.
During the meeting, the governor stressed the importance of unifying the Mahri ranks and reuniting, noting that these forces will contribute to enhancing security and stability in the governorate.
For his part, Commander Bin Sadif gave a detailed explanation of the nature of the “National Shield” forces, stressing that they are official forces that represent the state and are supported by the Arab coalition forces led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He added: “The National Shield Forces are for all Mahrah residents, without exception, and will work to serve the community and enhance security and stability in the governorate.”
Sheikh Saleh bin Amroten, the general sheikh of the Al-Jadhi tribe, also expressed his thanks to the governor for the warm reception and hospitality, stressing the tribe’s support for the efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Al-Mahra.
This meeting comes within the framework of efforts to enhance security in Al-Mahra Governorate, amid local tensions that reflect divisions over the expected role of these forces in the region.
