A violent explosion rocked the Al-Mukalla Iron and Steel Factory Ltd. in the Al-Rayyan area of ​​Hadramaut Governorate on Saturday evening. 

According to activist Walid Al-Tamimi on his Facebook page: The explosion was caused by an explosive device planted inside the factory, which is considered the only one in the governorate that is still operating regularly. It is believed that this targeting is part of a planned act of sabotage to disrupt the factory and put it out of service, which It provides the opportunity again for illegal trade in scrap and smuggling it abroad.

The explosion resulted in major material losses in the factory belonging to the merchant Bajrish, and the pressing machines broke down, and the security and local authorities have not commented on the incident until this moment.
