The American envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, called for peace efforts to continue in Yemen and not be affected by the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Lenderking said, in press statements: “Peace efforts in Yemen must not be wasted, while Washington works to contain the war in Gaza from escalation throughout the Middle East.”
He added: “We have made tremendous progress in the peace process, and these peace efforts should not be squandered, and we advise all parties not to expand this conflict.”
He stressed that his country's mission remains focused on securing the UN-led truce in Yemen, expanding its scope and building on it.
He called on all parties to continue peace efforts, work on a permanent ceasefire, and launch a comprehensive peace process under the auspices of the United Nations.
