America sends 11 Yemeni prisoners from Guantanamo to Oman

The US Department of Defense said, on Monday, that the United States has sent 11 Yemeni detainees from Guantanamo Bay to the Sultanate of Oman, in a major resettlement operation that reduces the number of prisoners to only 15 people.
The US military said in a statement that “the United States appreciates the willingness of the Government of Oman and other partners to support ongoing US efforts focused on responsibly reducing the number of detainees and ultimately closing the Guantanamo Bay detention facility.”
