The Undersecretary of Raymah Governorate, affiliated with the internationally recognized Yemeni government, Muhammad Al-Assal, confirmed that the terrorist Houthi gang treats Raymah Governorate as its own fiefdom, marginalizing its people, plundering its capabilities, and appointing governors and supervisors from outside the governorate in violation of the laws of the local authority.
Al-Assal explained, in a statement to local media, that the Houthi gang appointed the so-called “Faris Al-Habbari” from Arhab as governor of Raymah, and brought in security supervisors and tax and customs collectors from Saada, Anas, and Amran, with the deliberate exclusion of the people of the governorate from any leadership or representative role.< /p>
He pointed out that the gang is targeting the governorate because of its peaceful civil nature and its Shafi’i doctrine, stressing that it is working to spread sectarian and dynastic thought through intensive sectarian mobilization sessions in all the governorate’s districts and isolates.
Al-Assal revealed major financial corruption, explaining that the governorate’s revenues, estimated at millions of dollars from taxes and customs, disappear into the pockets of Houthi supervisors, while development in the governorate depends on community contributions from expatriates and merchants, without any real role for the militia other than taking pictures at... Projects completed.
He added that the so-called Raymah sheikhs in the Houthi-controlled areas do not have any real influence and cannot even release a single detainee from the governorate in the Houthi prisons.
Noting that the people of Raymah are suffering from the repression of the Houthi gang, but they are confident that the legitimate state will return soon, to liberate the governorate and restore rights to its people.
