The Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, today, Tuesday, signed two memorandums of understanding with the “Yemen Aid” organization to implement two vital projects to support the water and electricity sectors in the city.
The project includes connecting Al-Sadaqa Hospital to the electricity hotline, to ensure the continuity and enhancement of health services provided in the hospital, especially in light of the current conditions that require a strong infrastructure to support health facilities, while it focuses on improving the water network in the affected areas, to ensure clean water reaches citizens. And reduce the suffering of the population in the face of water scarcity.
The governor assured Lamlas that the signing of these agreements comes within the efforts of the local authority to enhance cooperation with international and local organizations to improve basic services in the capital, Aden.
Lamlas indicated, following the agreement signing ceremony attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Badr Maoun, the Director-General of the Electricity Corporation, Salem Al-Walidi, the Director-General of the Water and Sanitation Corporation, Muhammad Bakhbira, and a number of local officials and representatives of the organization, that these projects will contribute to alleviating the burden. On citizens and providing sustainable solutions to electricity and water challenges, he expressed in this context his thanks to the “Yemen Aid” organization for its continuous support, and stressing the importance of these partnerships in achieving development. For her part, the head of Yemen Aid, Samar Al-Yafei, explained that these projects come within the organization’s strategy to improve basic services in Aden, stressing that the organization seeks to enhance cooperation with local authorities in implementing development projects that contribute to improving the lives of citizens.< /p>
The two sides affirmed their commitment to implementing the projects according to the specified timetable, and seeking to expand future cooperation in other sectors to serve the residents of the capital, Aden, and enhance its stability.
