Director of the Public Works Office, the Environmental Health Department destroyed 3 tons of various foodstuffs that were proven unfit for human consumption, under the guidance of Brother Ahmed Ali Al-Daoudi, Director General of the Mansoura District, and under the supervision of Engineer Raafat Kokni,
Brother Hassan Abdulaziz Al-Subaihi, Head of the Environmental Health Department, explained that specialized teams confiscated this quantity as a result of its expiration and poor storage of some materials.
The destruction procedures were carried out in accordance with applicable procedures.
Brother Mahmoud Al-Muflhi, Deputy Head of the Environmental Health Department, also indicated that the specialized teams confiscated various food items, including quantities of expired drinks and children’s sweets. These materials were transported to the garbage dump in Bir Al-Naama in Al-Burayqa District to be destroyed in the presence of specialists.
Al-Muflhi confirmed that the Environmental Health Department will continue its health inspections of all stores that provide food and drinks to citizens. He called on citizens to report any store that offers expired consumer goods or materials that are not suitable for human consumption, stressing the department’s readiness to deal with reports immediately.
