The Traffic Police Department issued a circular to all owners of vehicles that operate on gas fuel, requiring them to adhere to the following requirements to ensure public safety:
1. Use an original gas system from the country of origin.
2. Providing the vehicle with a fire extinguisher with a capacity of 4 kilograms.
3. Conduct a technical inspection at the Traffic Police Department and obtain an approved inspection certificate.
The circular stressed the prohibition of the use of household gas cylinders as an alternative to gas systems in vehicles, whether taxi, private, or transportation, because of the great danger they pose to road users and means of transportation.
The competent authorities announced the launch of field campaigns to seize and impound violating vehicles, with the aim of enhancing security and safety on the roads.
