The Houthi militia launched a violent attack this morning on the Al Masoud areas in Al Quraishiya District in Al Bayda Governorate, using various heavy weapons in a large-scale attack, resulting in deaths and injuries from the Al Masoud tribe.
Local sources said that the Houthi militia carried out raids on citizens' homes, arresting dozens of them, at a time when the region is witnessing violent clashes between residents and the militia. The militia also stormed the village of Al-Khasha after violent clashes with the residents, where a number of members of the Al Masoud tribe were killed and wounded.
The sources indicated that the militia imposed a stifling siege on the entire area, preventing the entry of medical aid to the wounded and cutting off communications and the Internet from the area since this morning, which increases the suffering of civilians.
This attack comes after seven days of continuous confrontations in the region, where the militia targeted the people by bombardment with tanks and drones, as part of a wide military campaign against the areas of Qayfat Radaa in Al-Bayda Governorate.
The Houthi militia has accused the residents of belonging to ISIS and Al-Qaeda in an attempt to justify the violent attack on the region and legitimize its military campaign.
For their part, local sources confirmed that the situation in the region is deteriorating in light of the stifling siege imposed by the militia, and called on humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to relieve civilians and end the suffering.
