The Southern Civil Forces called on all southern people, including workers and employees in the military, civil, and mixed sectors, in addition to retirees and those laid off from their jobs, to participate in peaceful protests to demand their civil and economic rights.
The call came in a statement issued today, as the civil forces indicated that the southern people suffer from continuous deprivation of their basic rights, including non-payment of salaries and the absence of radical solutions to the economic crises.
The statement stressed that the living situation has turned into an “unbearable hell,” pointing to the failure of the corrupt political and party leaders that have been running the country for more than 30 years.

The statement said: “We will not accept the continuation of policies of starvation, impoverishment, and collective punishment, and we will continue our peaceful protests until our demands are fully achieved.”
The civil forces called for a gathering on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the parade square in Khor Maksar, starting at nine in the morning.
