Aden Electricity..PetroMasila returns to service this evening after the arrival of new oil shipments

An official source at the Aden Electricity Corporation announced today, Sunday, January 12, 2025, that the PetroMasila station will return to service as of seven in the evening, after new oil shipments arrived at the port of Nashima in Shabwa Governorate.
The source explained that the shipments included the arrival of 5 locomotives from Hadhramaut oil and 4 locomotives from Marib oil, which will enable the station to resume its work efficiently.
He stressed that this step will contribute to improving the performance of the electricity system in Aden, with the expectation that power outage hours will decrease and operating periods will increase starting tonight, provided that supplies continue to flow at the same pace.
The source expressed his hope that these measures would contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens as a result of frequent power outages, stressing that the corporation is working to provide sustainable supplies to ensure service stability.
Today the outage reached 22 hours, against two hours of operation, after all the power stations went out of service, with the solar power station continuing at half its capacity, coinciding with the clouds that covered Aden.
