A source in the Yemenia Aviation Administration said that a Yemeni Airlines plane landed at the airport on Tuesday morning, minutes after taking off from it.

The source said that the plane landed on the runway after take-off due to a defect in the air conditioning systems that required quick repair.

He pointed out that the plane's captain was forced to circle around the city to avoid any damage that might occur upon landing due to excess fuel.

The source reassured all passengers traveling via Yemenia Airlines of the safety of the plane and its crew, stressing that the plane was able to continue the flight, but the captain deemed it necessary to return to complete the technical procedures.
