Under the directives of Mr. Ahmed Ali Al-Daoudi, Director General of the Mansoura District, and under the supervision of Engineer Raafat Kokni, Director of the Public Works Office, the Environmental Health Department withdrew and destroyed 15 tons of cheese unfit for human consumption. This step came after the department received a report from the owner of the shipment, who reported that there was a problem with the quality of the products.
Mr. Hassan Abdulaziz Al-Subaihi, Head of the Environmental Health Department in the Mansoura District of the Public Works Office, explained that the specialized teams withdrew 43,000 boxes of cheese after confirming that they were spoilt and unfit for consumption. He added that the destruction process will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in the landfill designated for this purpose.
For his part, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Maflhi, Deputy Head of the Department, confirmed that the merchant took the initiative to report the shipment, which was examined by specialists who decided to withdraw it from the warehouses and destroy it in accordance with the approved regulations.
Later in the morning of the same day, specialized technical teams and a committee of concerned parties accompanied the shipment of cheeses to the Bir al-Naama landfill in the Buraiqa District, where they were destroyed by setting fire to them and ensuring that they were completely destroyed.
