The local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Lahj Governorate held its third quarterly meeting for the year 2023 on Thursday morning, headed by Brother Waddah Al-Halmi, Chairman of the Executive Board.

In the meeting, which began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, then the southern national anthem, and a minute’s silence for the souls of the martyrs of the south and Gaza, Waddah Al-Halmi delivered a speech at the beginning of which he conveyed to those present the greetings of President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council.

In his speech, Al-Halmi touched on the latest developments in the political and service situations in Lahj Governorate in particular and the south in general, stressing that the local leadership meeting comes in light of a deteriorating economic situation, deteriorating services, and a difficult living situation due to the artificial crises that included all aspects of life as a collective punishment for the people of the south to discourage them from achieving His aspirations and main goal is to restore his state.

Al-Halmi pointed out that the local leadership of the Lahj Transitional Council is working in coordination with local authorities to help them overcome difficulties, fix deficiencies, work to improve revenues, and stress the need to collect and collect them better, as this is one of the most important foundations for local authorities and transitional councils to fulfill their obligations towards citizens and thus improve the level of Public services provided to citizens.

Al-Halmi stressed the necessity of cohesion and standing together behind the southern political leadership, represented by President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, to confront all the challenges that obstruct the liberation march of the people of the South and defend the southern gains that were achieved thanks to the great sacrifices made by the people of the South. The South and baptized with the blood of its righteous martyrs.

The meeting, which was attended by the Commander of the Security Belt Forces in Lahj Governorate, Brigadier General Hussein Al-Saeedi, discussed a number of developments and reports on its agenda, including the organizational report presented by the Director of the Authority’s Organizational Department, Ghassan Alib, in which he reviewed the activities carried out by the departments in the governorate’s executive body and the leadership.

During the meeting, the political report presented by the Director of the Political Administration, Hussein Saleh, was listened to, which included an accurate diagnosis of the political scene in light of the internal and external variables and developments and the position of the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council on those developments.

Members of the local leadership provided a number of interventions that touched on a number of issues and proposals to improve organizational performance and enhance the role of the Council in some aspects during the coming period, in addition to discussing some issues related to the service aspect and the living conditions of citizens.
