The Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, chaired, today, Thursday, a meeting that included the head of the Central Bureau of Statistics, Dr. Safaa Moati, and the head of the Executive Unit for Displaced Persons Affairs, Najeeb Al-Saadi, to discuss the mechanism for organizing the management of camps for the displaced and finding sustainable solutions to the existing challenges.
During the meeting, the problems related to the mechanisms for implementing surveys for displaced persons camps were discussed, and it was agreed to form a joint team to manage and implement the surveys, while keeping the data in high quality with the Central Bureau of Statistics. The attendees stressed the importance of joint coordination to implement a comprehensive survey of the displaced, which contributes to developing solutions that meet their needs, while fully adhering to the minutes to ensure effective implementation.
In a related context, Lamlas met with the head of the Accounting and Oversight Authority branch in Aden, Ahmed Awad Al-Issai, where they discussed mechanisms for enhancing transparency and financial oversight of government facilities and institutions in the capital. Lamlas stressed the importance of the agency’s role in controlling financial operations and combating corruption, stressing the necessity of joint cooperation between agencies to achieve rational and effective management of public resources.
