The medical staff of Al-Ain Specialized Clinic for Ophthalmology and Surgery announced this evening the success of the free camp for cataract extraction and lens implantation, which was held at the Bates Medical Center in Khanfar District, Abyan Governorate, during the past few days. The camp was organized under the supervision and funding of the Direct Aid Society, and the implementation of the Eye Medical Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Population.  

Dr. Saleh Hassan Zein, head of the camp's medical staff and director of the Al Ain Specialized Clinic, confirmed that the medical team examined and examined 1,940 patients, and performed 406 surgeries to remove cataracts and implant lenses for those who needed them. The necessary medications were also dispensed and cases were followed up after operations to ensure the safety of patients.  

Dr. Zein praised the role of the local authority, the health offices in the governorate and district, and the Bates Medical Center, stressing that their facilities were a major factor in the success of this humanitarian work. He added that the medical team was able to perform its tasks with complete comfort, which contributed to providing free, high-quality service to citizens. .  

For their part, the citizens expressed their thanks and appreciation to the medical staff who made great efforts to restore their sight, which restored their hope and confidence in carrying out their daily lives normally. They appreciated the generous and continuous support of the Direct Aid Society, thanking the Kuwaiti brothers for their humanitarian concern for the weak and needy in our country. .
