The Governor of Socotra and the Commander of the Coalition Forces inaugurate the restoration of the road to the Shaab areas affected by Cyclone Tej

The Governor of Socotra, Engineer Raafat Al-Thaqali, along with the Commander of Support and Support in the Alliance to Support Legitimacy, Major General Sultan Al-Baqami, inaugurated the restoration of the road to the Shaab areas affected by Cyclone Tej, which struck the governorate last month, with support from the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen and the force of the Alliance to Support Legitimacy in the governorate.
At the inauguration, the Governor of Socotra, Engineer Raafat Al-Thaqali, confirmed that the process of restoring Shaab Road comes within the efforts of the local authority to reopen all public roads on the island for service after the damage it suffered as a result of Cyclone Tej, in cooperation and with the support of the brothers in the Arab coalition represented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. And the United Arab Emirates.
Al-Thaqali praised the efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their humanitarian response to open the Shaab Road, which was affected by Cyclone Tej, and which extends from the Aitaba region to the Nojd region, to facilitate the movement of citizens to their areas with ease.
Noting that Shaab Road is considered one of the important roads in the governorate and includes dozens of areas on its route, the local authority is always keen to place it among the roads in need of rehabilitation and maintenance because it is subject to constant damage.
The inauguration of the road was attended by the governorate’s undersecretary, Brigadier General Saleh Ali, and the commander of the support and support force in the governorate, Colonel Munif Al-Mutairi.
