In an important step to support stability in Yemen, the United Kingdom announced the launch of a new initiative aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the Yemeni government.
The announcement came during a donor meeting held in New York, where the British Minister of State for the Middle East, Hamish Falconer, confirmed that the initiative includes a coordinated donor program, in addition to appointing technical advisors to provide the necessary support and expertise in various fields.
This initiative aims to help the Yemeni government build strong institutions capable of providing basic services to the Yemeni people, and to enhance its ability to deal with the economic and security challenges facing the country.
