Today, Wednesday, the Southern Resistance Forces confronted drones sent by the terrorist Houthi militia on the Thara border front, north of Abyan Governorate.
In a statement by the head of operations of the Thara Front, Commander Salem Al-Barakani, he said: “Our forces were able to thwart an attempted attack by drones belonging to the Houthi militia that were targeting our positions, as our forces dealt with the aircraft with all decisiveness, and inflicted heavy losses on them.”
Al-Barakani added that the Houthi drone launch sites were targeted with resistance mortar shells, which led to the destruction of many of the militia’s military equipment and equipment. He also confirmed that private sources reported heavy losses among the Houthi militia, while the operation resulted in the injury of two soldiers from the heroes of the southern resistance. They were transferred to a nearby hospital, and their condition is stable.
Al-Barakani continued, saying: “Despite the attempts of the Houthi terrorist militia, our forces on the Thara front remain ready to confront any escalation, and these failed attempts will not affect the resolve of the steadfast heroes in the Thar mountains.”
