Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, made a telephone call to his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, on behalf of the members of the Council, the government and the Yemeni people, renewed his expression of sincere thanks and appreciation to President Sisi and his generous directives to provide the required facilities to Yemenis residing and arriving in Egyptian territory.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council put his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in front of the latest developments in the Yemeni situation, and the efforts of brothers and friends to revive the political process in light of the intransigence of the Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.

During the call, the two presidents reviewed ways to strengthen the long-standing relations between the Republic of Yemen and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and push them to broader horizons in various fields.

His Excellency the President praised the Egyptian position in support of the Presidential Command Council, the government and the Yemeni people, and its legitimate aspirations to restore state institutions, peace, stability and development.

For his part, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government, and making every effort for the good and interest of the Yemeni people, and alleviating their human suffering, in a way that embodies the specificity of the historical relations that bring together the two brotherly countries and peoples.

He also stressed Egypt's keenness to encourage all efforts aimed at finding a comprehensive and sustainable political solution that guarantees the achievement of peace and stability in Yemen, and the cohesion of its legitimate institutions.
