Hours before his wedding... Marib security arrested a "healer" who seized a citizen's wife

In an incident that sparked widespread controversy, security forces in Ma’rib Governorate, based on the directives of the Public Prosecution, arrested Abdo Muhammad al-Sharif, known as “Abu Muhammad al-Hashemi,” the owner of the Shifa Center for Treatment with the Qur’an and Herbs, this afternoon, Thursday, hours ago. Only from his wedding to a woman whose ex-husband divorced her under the pretext of “the magic of separation.”
According to the details revealed by preliminary investigations, the story began about a year ago, when the wife’s father transferred her to the Shifa Center for treatment with the Qur’an and herbs, after claiming that she was suffering from “the magic of separation.”
After a period of treatment, Abu Muhammad al-Hashemi convinced the husband, Yassin Abdo al-Hajj Muhammad Ali, that the only solution to save his wife was to divorce her, which was what actually happened.
After the end of her waiting period, Abu Muhammad Al-Hashemi proposed to marry her, and the wedding was scheduled to take place today, Thursday, had security not intervened and arrested him before the ceremony was completed.
Yassin Abdo Al-Haj Muhammad Ali, the former husband, said in an audio clip circulating on social media that he got married three years ago and had a little girl with his wife.
He added that he was surprised last Ramadan when his wife’s father took her for treatment to “Abu Muhammad Al-Hashemi,” who later took advantage of the situation to persuade him to divorce her.
Al-Hajj expressed his shock at the development of events, and called on the authorities to intervene urgently to stop what he described as a “farce” and end the violation of sanctity committed by this sheikh.
This incident sparked angry reactions on social media, as activists demanded strict control over centers that provide unlicensed “therapeutic” services, and which may exploit people’s needs for personal or financial purposes.
