As part of the efforts aimed at enhancing economic security and combating financial crimes, the Aden Branch Oil Company held a meeting with the Security Belt leadership on Thursday morning, in the presence of the company’s Director General, Dr. Saleh Amr Al-Jariri, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Security Belt Forces, Brigadier General Mohsen Abdullah Al-Wali.
During the meeting, it was agreed to enhance cooperation between the two parties to combat the smuggling of petroleum derivatives, which negatively affects the national economy and increases the suffering of citizens. Dr. Al-Jariri stressed that this cooperation will contribute to providing approved petroleum derivatives and preventing the entry of materials that violate technical standards.
For his part, the Brigadier General confirmed the readiness of the Security Belt forces to carry out intensive campaigns to pursue smugglers and seize trucks loaded with unlicensed petroleum derivatives. It was also agreed to activate checkpoints, exchange information, and apply deterrent penalties to violators.
