Guterres: The United Nations is making efforts to maintain the continued humanitarian aid in Yemen

The Secretary -General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, confirmed that the United Nations is making unremitting efforts to maintain the continuation of humanitarian aid in Yemen.
Guterres, in a statement to Al -Arabiya channel, expressed concern about the negative repercussions that may result in disrupting the movement of navigation in the Red Sea, which may negatively affect countries like Egypt.
Guterres had previously demanded, on January 25, to the immediate and unconditional release of all detainees, including United Nations staff, non -governmental organizations and civil society.
He emphasized that the continued arbitrary detention is a violation that cannot be accepted.
In response to these events, the United Nations announced its decision to suspend all official moves to the areas controlled by the Houthi terrorist militia in the capital, Sanaa, until further notice. This decision came as a precautionary measure in the wake of the detention of a number of other employees of the international organization.
