The Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Saeed Al -Shammasi, and the Governor of Shabwa Sheikh Awad Ibn Al -Wazir, launched the construction work for a college building for medicine and health sciences, which costs one million and 656 thousand dollars with local funding.
And review the engineering designs of the college project, which consists of three main buildings, the first building is devoted to the deanship of the college and its educational bureaucles, in addition to four external halls and five internal lecture halls, a central library and four laboratories, a special chapel for students and another for students, while the building was allocated The second of them is for the morgue that includes a academic hall, a large fridge, its laboratory, and the third building of the project was allocated to basic services facilities, and the general breaks for male and female students.
And the minister and the governor expressed their happiness at laying the foundation stone for the college, as the first educational and academic edifice held inside the new campus, including the designs of the general structures of the college buildings, and its facilities, stressing the importance of adhering to them.
The Minister of Oil and the Governor of Shabwa also briefed the level of work in the components of the first solar energy project in the governorate, with the support of the sisterly United Arab Emirates
