The security services in Al -Mahra Governorate announced on Wednesday that they were able to seize two elements while trying to infiltrate Yemen from Iran, working for the international Houthi group classified in terrorism lists. 

The Yemeni Minister of Interior praised during a phone call he made with the Director General of Al -Mahra Governorate Police, Mufti Suhail Samouda, the role of the security services in thwarting the plans targeting security and stability, stressing the importance of strengthening security efforts to maintain the stability of the province. 

According to the Ministry’s Security Media Center, Minister “Haidan” established the efforts of the security men to control the two elements at sea while trying to infiltrate Yemen from Iran, where preliminary investigations revealed that the defendants were working for the Houthi militia.

For his part, the Director General of Al -Mahra Governorate Police, Mufti Suhail Samouda said that Al -Mahra Police is working to enhance security readiness and take all measures to prevent any attempts that would harm the security and stability of the province, indicating that the seized elements are currently subject to the necessary legal procedures in preparation for referring them to the authorities The competent.
