A group of developmental institutions announced its intention to launch the “Yemeni Network for the Protection of Women and Girl,” during a press conference held today in my Radsi Mall in the capital, Aden, coinciding with the International Day of lack of tolerance at all with the distortion of female genital organs.

During the conference, Ahmed Al -Zubairi, head of the preparatory committee and an official of a campaign to invite it, stressed the importance of joining efforts to end the existing violence against women, especially in light of the continued conflict and weak state institutions. He explained that this network will be an important tributary to enhance the position of women in Yemeni society, stressing the need to reject all forms of violence against it.

The campaign "Support as Created", which has been announced since 2019, included awareness workshops and community initiatives, in addition to highlighting women's success stories, as many women managed to overcome challenges and achieve prominent achievements in multiple areas. /P>

At the end of the campaign, the organizers stressed the importance of continuing to support women and enhance their role in society, calling on official authorities and civil society organizations to adopt policies that protect women's rights and provide them with a safe and fair environment without discrimination.

During the event, three development projects were reviewed by participating organizations, namely:

“Aman’s Aman” platform for the Psychological Care Corporation,

Production of an awareness video clip for the Human Development Corporation,

Student competition, exhibition and short film for the Aden Foundation for Arts and Sciences.
