Al-Mualla Authority directs to take preventive measures to confront cholera

Professor Abdul Rahim Jawi, Director General of Al-Mualla District, directed the District’s Health and Population Office to take preventive measures against the possible emergence of infected or suspected cases of cholera and to coordinate with the Emergency Committee in the District.
Dr. Bassam Abadi, Director of the Health and Population Office in the Directorate, said that the Health Office had approved and issued directives to doctors in the health complex to monitor diarrhea cases and go to the field to raise awareness about cholera prevention and receive suspicious reports for the response team to descend.
The Emergency Committee in the Directorate is preparing for a meeting tomorrow, headed by Mr. Abdul Rahim Jawi, Director General of the Directorate, to coordinate joint work and approve recommendations for the possible emergence of suspected cases or infection with cholera.
The emergency committee includes the directors of the public health, population, water and sanitation offices, the hygiene fund, community committees, and the environmental health department.
