About 5,400 Yemeni expatriates returned from Saudi Arabia last October, a rate that is the largest in the last five months, and the second since the beginning of this year 2023.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said in the “Flow Monitoring” report issued on Sunday It monitored the return of a total of 5,386 Yemeni expatriates from Saudi Arabia in October 2023.
It added that the number of expatriates returning from Saudi Arabia last October represented an 8% increase compared to the previous month, which witnessed the return of 5,007 expatriates.
The number is Expatriates returning last month are the second highest rate during the current year after May 2023, which recorded the return of 5,466 expatriates from Saudi Arabia.
The Displacement Matrix (DTM) of the Organization for Migration indicated that it monitored the return of a total of 45,464 expatriates from Saudi Arabia to Yemen between January and October. 2023, a decrease of 18% compared to the same period last year, which witnessed the return of 55,269 expatriates.
